Collaboration between teams falters due to vague communication or unclear roles. Meetings are held, but no decisions are made.<\/p>\n<p>Development discussions happen, but the feedback leads to no concrete action. These are examples of behavioral friction \u2013 a phenomenon that may not immediately appear in KPI metrics, but is felt in quiet dissatisfaction, slowed learning, and waning motivation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Behavioral friction<\/strong> (also known as sludge) is a concept from behavioral economics.
